Guest Policies

General

• Terra Nova House offers guests a smoke free environment
• Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the property; if a guest smokes in their room during their stay a $100.00 cleaning charge will be assessed
• Children over 12 are welcome accompanied by a parent or guardian
• Any guest under the age of 18 cannot occupy a room without a parent or guardian
• Sorry, no pets of any kind are allowed at Terra Nova House

Reservations

• A two night minimum stay is required on stays related to:
  • College events
  • Nationally recognized holidays
• Room rates subject to change without notice

Payment

• Credits cards accepted; MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover
• Other forms of payment; Cash and Traveler's checks
• A 50% deposit is required for any:
  • Reservation for a single room of more than 2 nights stay
  • Reservation of more than 1 room for a single night stay
  • Stay related to a college event or recognized National holiday
• Prepaid gift cards cannot be used towards the purchase of any package

Discounts

• Only one discount may apply for each reservation
• There are no discounts on; Packages, Specials, or stays in the Caribbean Room
• There are no discounts for stays during college events or holidays

Check In / Out

• Check-in time is between 3PM and 9PM
• Arrivals after 9:00pm will be assessed a $40.00 late check-in fee
• Check-out time is by 10:00AM;
  A $40 charge will be assessed for late check-outs without prior arrangements

Cancellations

Terra Nova House recognizes unforeseeable events sometimes arise that require our guests to reschedule or cancel reservations. We do everything we can to accommodate those requests; without imposing unacceptable financial strains on our business. Therefore, the following policies on rescheduling and canceling reservations are observed:

• Requests to reschedule or cancel reservations at least 10 days before scheduled arrival date are accepted without penalty
• Requests to cancel College Events or National Holiday reservations at least 30 days before scheduled arrival date are accepted without penalty
• Cancellations the same day as the reservation, early departures, and "no shows" are charged the full rate.
• Cancellation with less than 10 days notice must be made by telephone; our toll free number is 877-837-6682
• We cannot be responsible for inclement weather
